Understanding Fair & Impartial Policing & Law Enforcement Active De-Escalation Strategies (LEADS)

L.O.C.K.UP. Police Training Systems and Spector Training have partnered to bring you this unique opportunity!  Our trainers, Lt. Sean Grant and Lt. Jon Laughlin,  will make officers aware of the risk and negative consequences of bias policing through awareness of individual bias and empower the students to ensure that such bias does not affect the manner in which they perform their duties.  With a goal toward enhancing and promoting trust on the part of the people they serve, the trainers will include techniques on Active Diffusion Strategies that can avoid or resolve interactions by employing effective de-escalation methods.  This portion of the instruction is classroom-based combat-confrontation avoidance.  Based upon the L.O.C.K.U.P.® Police Combat system, it teaches within a classroom setting, how to recognize aggression and to not stimulate aggression.   The L.E.A.D.S.™ Curriculum has been reviewed and approved by the United States Dept. of Justice.
